Instant crashing

Editor opens the game just fine, zero issues, shows the menu and all the options from the get go. Open career save file and when I attempt to edit a player or team, it simply crashes the entire game. When the editor attempts loading the players or the teams, it simply crashes. Tried messing with the startup time and nothing changes either, whether it's 3k, 6k, 8k ms, it's the same outcome.

no, I'm running it vanilla

ig the save is bugged or something since it works on my other saves
