i have searched that but i am not sure because i don’t have a scanner , my question is how to stop submitting the form with barcode scanner. i have found that disabling key 13 and prevent default if the keyEvent is 13 , but i need the enter key to still submitting form ?is that possible?

Solution:

Do you have ability do detect if that barcode scanne is used? Maybe then just directly disable form submission instead of the Enter button?

You could try using barcode scanner built inside a phone's camera (if you need a scanning device to test)
