error -102, -72, 185 for no apparent reason or as vanguard says "connection error"

What is the current error that it's showing right now?

- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After youโre done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)

and it wasnt cause of that
it never worked
and my ethernet is just fine
even so because of it
i cant queue like a normal person in comp
because the game just HAS to have some random problem
it suddenly goes away
then comes back to bite me

the 185 yes have seen many ppl .the other didnt see it before .also yea they are too busy after the update but wait if she said she fowrard it then it will be fixed soon
hi junimo i also have the same problem, i did a clean reinstall vanguard but i still get the same error. VAN -72
when i tried going into practice my ping goes to 1000MS and it is not stable, i tested my internet speed and ping its around 20-30MS even when on lobby my ping still showing 20-30MS. im on SG server i only checkmark the SG server.

it seems to be performance related, might be the game is eating up too much cpu resource and not letting vanguard run in a timely manner- how soon after launching the game do you get disconnected? can you try standing in firing range instead to see if it also happens? or maybe try limiting your fps
cuz i definitely noticed van-72 increased after the ue5 update, I wonder if the engine is just using more cpu than before
Hey, I've been having these problems for a while too. Do you know if the next update will entail a bug fix of sorts because this bug is really frustrating.
it'll likely have to be a valorant update in which case it might take a few weeks to go out, but I'm pushing for getting the fix expedited
Just chiming in to say I got this exact same issue since a few days ago. Today after disconnecting me a few more times I got a temp ban for unfair advantage. Initially for a few minutes, but every time I check it pushed the unban further into the future. This is really messed up.
well i reinstalled both vanguard and valo 2 times
and it seems its fixed..for now at least
i havent gotten it in 2 comp matches back to back
so for now its gone
so...a new error just started popping up
