buying shirts with the intention of tying around waist

hey, quick question. i'm someone who doesn't like wearing flannel as an actual shirt (or unbuttoned loosely as a cover), but i rly like the look of tying them around the waist (e.g. img i attached). i'm going out shopping this weekend, and does anyone have any recommendations of how i should go about buying for this sole purpose? should i be buying a much cheaper flannel shirt cuz of my intentions? and are there certain things i should be making sure i find in a shirt before buying so that it may work better for tying purposes? extra details if it helps: im male with an hourglass figure, slightly below avg height for a late teenager but not short by any means any help appreciated, thanks a ton 🙏

Hi @miih! For better answers, include: - Reference pictures - Budget in numbers - Specific measurements - Openness to buying secondhand and/or online - Location: country/continent is fine - Timing/urgency

I'd honestly just use old shirts or hit up goodwill or something if they're just for this Not a knock on the style, it's just a lot more cost efficient
