Modifying/Patching Custom Bios to enable ReBAR on unsupported mobos
Hey, this is mainly a question for the vanguard/ac devs here, but I was just wondering, if I were to patch my own bios to enable this feature (required for Intel ARC graphic cards - and my mobo doesnt natively have the option in bios), if it would piss vanguard off and lead to more complications down the line.

what do you wanna enable exactly ?
If you try to update with custom bios, you’d probably end up bricking the mobo :val_SusgeNoted:

Apparently not, you just need to patch the update file yourself
Intel arc graphics requires ReBAR, or resizable memory basically so that the gpu is utilised to the full extent
I’m trying to run it on a older Haswell system, so I need to manually patch it in. Just curious if vanguard would flip on me for it
I also have a bios programmer in case that happens 😭
Also not so much flashing custom bios, just enabling an option that is hidden by default on haswell chipsets

I did ask asus for a bios with the option enabled, but we shall see

No, you’re technically flashing your own bios, which would invalidate the signatures

Man, this really isn’t helping, I doubt they’d give a concrete response by any means, for them it’s a case of liability. But I opened one like 10 mins ago, see how that goes
