keep getting whea_uncorrectable_error
I don’t know what to do. I keep getting this error. And right before it crashes/bsod with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_error, it keeps disabling my ethernet port. I’ve tried 3 different mobos, 2 different cpu’s, 2 different ram sticks, 2 different psu’s. Windows 10 and 11. Its soo annoying.

is your bios up to date?
yes? i just updated it
check for overheating of various components and the temperatures of various components
on 3 different mobos
z790 gaming plus wifi
z790 msi tomahawk
then I'd say fully reinstalling windows is your safest bet
z690 aorus master (just switched to this one)
what cpu do you have
i have done that
on 3 different ssd's
windows 11 23h2
windows 11 25h2
what cpu is it
intel 14th 14700k i7
and
intel 12th 19700k 19
originally did 14th
but i saw all the errors from it
so i switched to 12th gen
intel 13th and 14th gen i7 and i9 will have microcode issues that internally fry themselves
the 12th gen should have that problem
i heard, thats why i switched
have you applied any overclocking?
i have not, no
could you check your temperatures with hwinfo real quick?
hwinfo?
yeah
whats that
hwinfo64?
yeah that one
btw what power supply do you have
this

?
i was using a corsair rm1000x
i also was using amd 9700 xt but i just switched to nvidia 5070 yesterday thinking MAYBE it was my gpu
when you launch hwinfo64, select sensors
like this

then send a screenshot of the temperatures
also do you know what exactly happens right before this error occurs?
or does it just happen randomly
my ethernet stops working then the pc freezes and then bsod
if you remember the last time an error like this happened you might be able to see the reason in event viewer

everything looks normal
it could be a problem with your drivers
I'll send you a video. Do the same steps and send a screenshot
kk
yeah try these steps
this should show the exact cause of the whea error
actually you may have to filter by both critical and error to find it

that's odd
it hasnt logged any bluscreens
most of this points to driver related problems. You'll have to reinstall drivers
also after changing your gpu have you uninstalled the amd gpu drivers cus that usually can also cause one of these
yes, using ddu
is anyone able to look at the logs to get a better idea?
it only happens on val
strictly val
it happens when val launches?
within 5-10 mins
i have hvci enabled, iommu enabled
its almost like
a few mins in
do you have xmp enabled for your ram?
val disables my ethernet
then my cpu then my ssd
its so weird
i do not, no
try uninstalling all your drivers and reinstallin all of them
i have tried that
and also tried fresh windows install
no drivers install besides nvidia drivers
and still happens
odd
have you tried stress testing your pc and seeing if it crashes during those?
yeah, it doesn't
does it crash when using wifi rather than ethernet?
I just tested that rn
yeah it crashed
i disabled onboard lan in bios
and tested via wifi
the last thing I know is try doing a system file scan to check for file integrity
open command prompt in administrator mode
and run
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
these two commands
after that see if the same crash occurs. If it does, I have no idea
it after that it still crashes, try contacting riot support
does it crash when playing literally any other game with a kernel level anticheat?
correct, only val
have you tried reinstalling vanguard
yes
lmao bro i’ve reinstalled windows so many times
I'd say your only bet now is riot support
sorry I couldnt help
its alright. thank you for the help
