Casual balmacaan coat for AW25?

Looking for reccs for a good coat for the upcoming season. I have plenty of cropped bombers and chore coats, I have a Schott peacoat but it's a bit short. So now looking for something a little "more" and I love some of the tweed or houndstooth balmacaan coats I've seen, the raglan sleeves help them look a little more casual. Budget preferably in the 400-600 range but I can flex if needed

Hi @jhill! For better answers, include: - Reference pictures - Budget in numbers - Specific measurements - Openness to buying secondhand and/or online - Location: country/continent is fine - Timing/urgency

second hand: brycelands, Margaret howell, drakes or kaptain sunshine. New: SEH Kelly if/when it restocks this autumn, cavour, mfpen, gloverall, labour union. Ralph also likely to have decent options new and definitely second hand (alongside all the usual brands in that space - old BR, JCrew etc etc). these are an item where I think it's often harder to get a good one new than it is second hand. They were designed to be cheap and bombproof, and old ones often fit in a bigger/more dramatic way that looks better.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing! I'm gonna set up a saved ebay search for a few different brands

Searching for just Harris tweed balmacaans can open up your results to older no-name brands too I like the Wythe ones for new, but it’s 5-10x more than something on eBay
