Asphalt 8 on Ubuntu 25.10 (Heroic)
I tried launching Asphalt 8 via Heroic on Mint, Arch, and Ubuntu, but the graphics were loading incorrectly on all of them, and even if the game did launch, I couldn't enjoy it.
My system: RX 550 4GB, Intel i5-3570, 8GB DDR3 RAM

I've made a PR to add a protonfix for this game now: https://github.com/Open-Wine-Components/umu-protonfixes/pull/427
This means that with the next version of GE-Proton (and other Proton versions implementing protonfixes), this issue will be automatically resolved

HEY HELP ME ABOUT THIS!
I'M A HUMAN TOO!
That's not the full log
Based on that alone though, you may want to try installing
d3dcompiler_43 or d3dcompiler_47 via Winetricks
Alright, got it
- Install d3dcompiler_47 using Winetricks
- Delete <wineprefix path>/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Gameloft/Asphalt8/<epic ID>/temp
Alternatively, delete your Wineprefix completely, then install d3dcompiler_47 before launching the gamegrumpy-cyanOP•2w ago
