Extreme Frame drop from 750 to 45fps

I’m currently playing on Minecraft 1.21.8 using the Modrinth Launcher with Iris + Sodium. I’m experiencing a big performance drop compared to last year, and I’d really appreciate some help identifying what’s causing it. A year ago, I could run BSL shaders at around 200 FPS consistently. Now, I only get 45–60 FPS, even though VSync is disabled. Render distance: 12 chunks → ~45 FPS with shaders Render distance: 2 chunks → ~60 FPS Resolution: 1440p (switching to 1080p makes no difference) System specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 (16 GB) RAM: 32 GB DDR5 @ 6000 MHz (10 GB allocated to Minecraft) What I’ve already tried: * DDU → Clean driver reinstall * DDU → Reinstalled older AMD drivers * Tried other launchers * Set javaw.exe to High Performance in both Windows and AMD Adrenalin I’d love to get back to the performance I had before and be able to enjoy shaders again. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!

While I'm not running your exact specs, I can confirm this same issue is happening to me. I use an NVDIA graphics card (4070) and if our issue is similar despite hardware differences, GPU usage would be increased in the newer version (1.21.8 or later) but delivers worse FPS whereas if you play on a version from a year ago, GPU usage is lower but delivers higher frames?
