Can’t see video playback on linux
I have an issue with my desktop client.
Some backed up videos can’t be played. The video itself plays but all I can see is a black screen.
I’m using arch linux, and i’ve tried pacman, aur, flatpak, app image. Can someone help me out? Any dependency maybe?...
Ente Auth accessibility privacy flag
Could anyone please clarify if the ente auth android app sets the new Android 14 accessibility privacy flag (accessibilityDataSensitive / ACCESSIBILITY_DATA_PRIVATE_YES) on the views/screens that display sensitive data like 2FA codes? I have a few services running in my background that I don't want my codes to be visible to.
Photo dublicates
Hello! I have an iphone and all my photos are synced to ente. I switched to a new phone and when i open ente it tries to sync all my photos once again. They also don't appear in remove duiblicates window. Maybe someone had the same issue. Thanks!
CMD+Tab not working on MacOS
When open, Ente Photos "disappears" after a short while from the app switcher, so it's impossible to reopen it using cmd+tab.
Anyone with the same issue?...

If i end up having to delete and then re-add all of my photos, will ente still remember the faces, or do i have to start all over?...
uploading already existing photos
if a photo is uncategorized and i upload the album that it came from, will ente categorize it?
if that doesnt work, do i have to remove everything and start over?
PS. Most of my photos are uncategorized and i am wondering how to associate them w the folder they were uploaded from....
changed watched folder from single to multiple
i initially added photos to single album.
after all items had been uploaded, i removed the watch folder and added it back w/ multiple folder option.
once it was complete, i chose 'clean up uncategorized' and nothing happened...
I was expecting that the photos would now have albums.....
Lost access to 2FA and no recovery key available.

CORS issue
Hi, fiestly thank you for the great works. I have problem with my k3s setup. Im short, everything works perfectly in app but my web browser get CORS error. Probably because when it send request to museum, it redirect it to my r2 and my r2 block the request.

Homescreen widget on iOS
I just switched from Android to iOS and tried to set up my homescreen. I would like to add an album widget to the homescreen, but I'm not able to find a widget in the widget list. In the app settings I'm told to return once I added a widget to the homescreen.
I'm on iOS 26.0.1 with Ente 1.2.11
Any idea what could be the problem here?...
watch folder
i uploaded all of my non phone photos by watching my server's pictures directory.
Meanwhile my phone is uploading the non server photos.
i am thinking that this was a mistake, as i still want to copy my phone photos to my server...
i believe that ente wont re-upload them, but i am wondering if i should have just uploaded the folder instead of using watch?...
updating ubuntu deb package
i installed from deb and dont see any way to check for updates...
are there plans to add to package manager for auto updates, or will i manually need to do this?

Sharing and EXIF
1. On Android, if I use the share button, does the shared image still contain EXIF data?
2. When using a public link for sharing, will others the EXIF data, such as the location, if album layout is not set to "trip"?
I would like to be able to share photos without EXIF / location data....
Album Display Format
When you look at an Album in Google Photos you can display them in date order but they are not broken up in to date blocks. You just get a continual display of the photos. Can Ente also display an Album like Google as I have not found how to do this?

I have a self-hosted authentication server on a Linux server for internal company use. To perform maintenance on the server, is there a command I can run from the server command line to log out all users?
