Deduplication

Hey, any tips on deduplication of photos? I've imported from Google Photos, but Ente's deduplication missed a lot. I think it's probably because I had some from Google Photos, Facebook Photos, etc which are the same photo with different resolutions (and maybe even different color palette?). I'm thinking of deleteing everything from Ente, pulling all my photos from Google Takeout again, and running some sort of deduplication software before sending to Ente. Any ways to make this easier? Accidentally emptied trash

Hi. I emptied my trash of about ten gigabytes worth of very important photo & videos while trying to restore them. I know that is an insane mistake to make, but I was trying to delete one thing I actually didn't want before restoring the rest, and accidentally hit empty trash instead. Is there ANY way I can get back these photos and videos? Please help, I would be devastated if I lost these memories. I emailed support about this but have received no response, so I'm no worried something might be wrong with my email domain...

Mobile video trim does not provide preview while scrolling timeline

Prior to the latest update, when I entered the trim view, I could move the left bar (green) along the trim timeline and see the individual frames in the video window, which was nice so I could tell where to trim to. In this latest update, that functionality is no longer available, the video window never updates to show the frame of the where the bar is on the trim timeline. Is this expected behavior with the latest release?...

Unhide faces

Is it just me or is there nowhere you can unhide faces now? At the bottom of the album tab there is hidden and I can unhide albums there, and I can see hidden faces so long as they are in an album, but I can't find a way to unhide the faces..?

Facing Issue accessing one of my file.

It's a Video. I am able to stream it but am not able to either View Original or Edit It. :dispair: Everytime I try to edit the file, it produces the following error - "failed to fetch original to edit". This all started on 7 Sep, I initially thought it will fix itself up, but it's still there even after 2 weeks....

Delete Empty Albums

Hey team! I am currently working on bringing my photos over into Ente and ran into an issue. I accidentally brought my Facebook zip folder in and it created 1000 albums with no data in it. Is there anyway to delete albums with no photos in them? I don't want to go into each album and delete it manually.

Cant use Ente Auth for outlook

I added the method of verification. All good it was accepted. I deleted from it Microsoft autheniticator that sucks. But it doesnt offer me to use an Authenticator app to sign in, only email. any ideas?

Can I hide the Album somehow.

Hi Everyone, Android Phone. I take a photo with my phone and it ends up in the default location on my phone. It then gets backed up with Ente and ends up in the Camera Album and at the top of the All Album. I then select the photo from the All Album and place it into let's say an Album called General. Is there a way to hide the Camera Album and still have the photo in the General Album and All Albums?...

Hi all, I incorrectly sent a request, that was NOT from my Ente email address, to pay using PayPal. I received an invoice from that request. I gather if I pay that invoice it will therefore be not tired to my correct Ente Account....

Does the ente cli export ever delete photos?

I heard the ente export is incremental and preserves structure. But what happens if I have uploaded a album or photo to ente, exported it and then deleted it in ente, and exported again?

Do not make Albums

Hi Everyone, Just started using Ente and have a questions regarding Albums. Let's say I have a folder on my Android Device called Faceboook and I save photos from Facebook into that folder. I select that folder as a backup and Ente automatically makes an Album called Facebook containing all the photos. Can I have those photos not placed within an album, like Google Photos would copy them to Photos and not put them in an Album?...

Recent Ente Auth AppImage versions fail to launch on Linux Mint

Until recently things were working fine. Now the recent versions fail to launch and display errors shown in screenshot. I suspect a recent Mint update has broken compatibility. I have reverted back to Ente Auth 4.3.2 which still works for me for some reason. Any guidance on how to resolve this so that I can run recent versions would be appreciated.

Can't change any of the Album "options"

I created this album long ago. Today I decided to set a "password lock" for it but got an error popup. I tried changing other options, but they too were not working. I also sent the bug by email today itself. Hope it gets solved soon.
