Immich is slow in browser

Hi, I'm running immich 2.2.3 on a RasPi 4. Opening immich through a browser is slow, and will not load any pictures, but the mobile app works fine. I tried with both mozilla firefox, and the duckduckgo browser. The browser interface was working earlier this week. When I open a window, I get a notification that the page is unresponsive, and is slowing down the rest of the browser. I'm not currently uploading anything, and am not currently running any machine learning jobs. I've tried rebooting the pi, but have the same problems after reboot. ```...

Restore “old” library

Hello everyone, I’m brand new to Immich and NAS systems in general - this may be a be a very ignorant problem but I have read the docs, worked over it with an LLM and am finally resorting to asking here: Problem (self created probably): - crashed Immich yesterday (maybe due to not setting automatic permissions in GUI setup? Worked for a day.) and reinstalled (trueNAS). Pointed uploads to old /photos dataset via GUI. - Library shows no photos, but does read 9gb/10tb in bottom left corner, same as before crash. ...

Xiaomi 15T pro no background sync

So I have a new phone, installed Immich on it, logged on to my server and it does not ever seem to do any backup unless I open the app. I have allowed notifications but it never shows them. On my precious phone Galaxy S23 it works and shows notifications about checking new media, backing up media. Do I need to activate something somewhere for this to work?...

No space left on device

I am getting 500 errors on file upload. The server logs show no space left on device errors: ``` [Nest] 31 - 11/19/2025, 8:57:52 AM ERROR [Api:Error: ENOSPC: no space left on device, open '/usr/src/app/upload/upload/b77f4942-dd0c-4bfe-ad4c-a34c514ee594/6a/33/6a33aece-5b2f-4ccd-9f4f-431a7e21df03.jpg'~yt9ad1ck] ...

uploading on cellular

Can the immich android app upload from cellular? For some reason, it doesn't want to upload when I am not on WiFi. It shows indicator that the app is successfully connected to the server over my domain. And in settings, I couldn't find the option that toggles uploading over cellular......

Server unreachable

Hello, I am running an Immich server since several years and it's always been running fine, but I have a strange behaviour the last few days. I have been restarting the containers on sunday (following the latest Docker update - Docker version 29.0.2, build 8108357), and since then the server is unreachable on port 2283, which is its usual port. The logs are fine but when I try to connect, I reach a timeout message.

Immich randomly hits a wall; then works great after a restart...

Been using Immich for a few weeks, running v2.2.0 using Docker compose on an N100 w 8GB RAM, 750GB SSD running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS. No issues until lately. I recently scaled up from about 4k photos to about 10k plus a few hundred videos. A few days later I started having intermittent performance issues. I'm not certain the issue is due to the number of images, that is just one of the most recent changes I had made. Immich runs extremely well when I start it up and for an hour or more afterwards. Very snappy. But suddenly it hits a wall and is completely unusable with thumbnals showing as grey and a spinning 'thinking' indicator. At that point I can't access it via the web UI locally nor across teh LAN, nor via the mobile app. Other Firefox tabs on the same machine, such as the Portainer tab, also hang. The rest of the apps on this machine work perfectly fine. When this happens System Monitor indicates resources are stable and not hit hard. 20% CPU usage, Memory at 48% of 8GB, Low disk and Network. ...

Tags not applying

Hello! I recently installed Immich on my Proxmox server on an Ubuntu server running docker. I have everything running great but when I apply tags to any of my images, it briefly shows the tag applied then it vanishes. I had the same issue on my previous server setup and tags would just not stay applied to pictures. I searched all over but I seem to be the only one with this issue. Are there common config setting I should be checking? My photo library is hosted on my Synology NAS and is ma...

Generate Thumbnails & Extract Metadata Jobs throwing Errors

I went to the jobs page and kicked off the 'Missing' button on both the generate thumbnails and extract metadata jobs. Each seem to be barking with their own errors, and I am hoping someone can provide a way to fix/clean this up / ensure nothing is corrupted/lost. I've pasted the errors, which look to appear to have added some attachments....

Android video uploads loose all metadata except location

Server and app version 2.2.3 - Galaxy S23 Ultra App has full permission access Whenever a video is uploaded (taken on device camera) it drops all metadata except location when its uploaded via the Android app. This strangely does not effect my partners iPhone. ...

"make open-api" fails

Hi. I'm trying to make changes in the API using Dev containers. When running "make open-api" from the container, I get this error message: Errors: -paths.'/assets/device/{deviceId}'. Declared path parameter deviceId needs to be defined as a path parameter in path or operation level Is something missing?...

Failed to read (/data/encoded-video/.immich) on kubernetes

Background: I'm using kubernetes (k3s) and the official helm chart (0.10.3) and mounting a persistent volume (rancher local path) on /data. I use tag: v2.2.3 (so: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:v2.2.3) I keep getting this error. I've tried: - running the container / helmchart as is - creating an init container that sets /data to chown 1000:1000 and file permissions to 770...

Remove "Copy Image" option and icon from shared images

I can't see a way turn off the option to copy an image on a shared image. When creating a shared link we have the option to turn off metadata and downloading. I also want to prevent someone who has access to the shared link from copying an image. It seems odd we can't.

Using Immich from remote devices

I would like to port forward my Immich server so that I can access my photos and videos from my phone anywhere. Port forwarding is working for other apps such as ssh and Minecraft, but I am still unable to connect to Immich. I can connect fine from localhost or from other devices on my network, but not from remote devices (phone on cellular or laptop on hotspot). I am running Immich in docker on Arch Linux. Immich is also the only docker container I'm running at the moment.

Batch tag operations

I recently uploaded a bunch of photos from my Google account using immich-go. I'm not happy with how some of the tags were implemented. Is there any way in CLI (or some other method) to add a tag to a batch of photos? The only way I can see to do it is one by one, and that would be painstaking. I can delete the improper tag, but that is of limited use if I can't replace it with the proper tag. Immich server version 2.2.3....

Restore faulty Immich from backup

I have a Immich instance installed on my home server using docker (on Ubuntu server, on an old HDD). Last month I was uploading several pictures on my Immich, and it was very busy extracting metadata and running AI on the new assets (it was like 1000 new assets). Suddenly the power went out. Once the power was back my server was no longer booting, I was stuck in Initramfs. I run...

Not being able to upload some videos

I have a immich server hosted on my raspberry pi 4 via portainer. My friends want to upload some videos and photos to it but they simply cant. Some videos if they try enough it gets uploaded but sometimes it cant upload. They sent me the following video....

Postgres "asset" table 131GB

I just noticed that my postgres database (only used for immich) is fairly large, after investigating a bit I've pinned it down to the asset table having a table size of 98GB and index size of 33GB. all the other tables are negligable. Does anyone know why that table got so large? I don't have a lot of assets, Immich server stats report a total storage space of 77GiB.

Trying to 'restore' my lxc immich container after a superblock got corrupted on my proxmox

Hi all, My Proxmox server went down last week due to corrupted superblocks. I was only able to file-copy the CTs and VMs, not clean backups. Proxmox is freshly reinstalled now and several VMs are working, but my Immich LXC is not. ...
