iPhone stuck on upload 3 photos
I have on wife phone the Immich and the iPhone stuck with upload 3 photos
I think the photos is corrupted .
How can I ignore them or fixing this issue ?...
Migrating server with no backup but storage and uploads intact
Hey folks looking for a bit of advice to hopefully save some time. I followed the backup and restore docs and assumed I would have a backup in my upload folder, not realizing that my version was too outdated to have this feature. (v1.117)
Now the server is nuked and I'm starting from scratch, so I was wondering if there is any sort of "rescan library" feature I could use to avoid uploading everything again, since I still have my uploads and storage folders intact.
My pictures were backed up somewhere else so it's not the end of the world, but I would like to be able to restore my albums and favs and such....

So I just found about Immich a few weeks ago. I have never used docker before or gotten this deep into code at all. I have time and again tried to install Immich on my windows laptop. Here are my main issues/ goals:
1. I want to set up Immich with an external hard drive as the upload location. I have tried to input the path but it doesn't recognize my external drive.
2. I cannot access this server from my cellular device through the app even though I am on the same wifi network. (I can if I completely turn off the firewall but that feels unsafe)....

Behaviour of failed jobs
Using docker to run immich on synology NAS with files stored on a different NAS. Each of the scheduled jobs have some failed instances but I wanted to know if Immich automatically retries the failed entities or if I have to re-run the jobs for all of the items to get them to retry
Upload path change with asustor portainer app store install
Help to change upload path..for some reason the asustor immich app install, you cannot change the upload path.. the app gets installed with portainer, so even though the documents state how to change in the traditional sense, using this method of install it seems I cannot find the way to change the upload path.

Immich app behind reverse proxy + authentik
I am setting up Immich, using nginx reverse proxy with authentik.
Setup was a breeze, I can now access immich on my https://immich.mydomain.tld on web, upload works, websocket works, works from mobile browser, all happy.
But when I download Immich app, it say "Server not reachable", I pressume because Authentik jumps in and wants this device+app combo to authenticate.

Where are my photos being stored?
I've mapped a network drive on my PC and set it in the .env as the upload location, but after adding thousands of photos the folder is empty 🧐 where are they going?!
can't login
I'm having issues with immich, I can't login from my phone (iOS) on external network. I set it up via tailscale, it worked fine two weeks ago but now after trying to login it doesn't work (I get an error "server not reachable"). I tried updating to the new immich version (it's setup via docker on my windows pc) I pulled the new version, it doubled in size so I'm guessing it updated, but it still doesn't work. When I visit "http://[::1]:2283/auth/login" (on the server pc) it works, I see the immich login page.

Some users are getting a bit confused on their storage since it's taking the entire partition Immich lives on. I'd rather just hide that altogether and not add to the confusion.
SSL Client Certificate not working?

I've tried setting up an SSL Client Certificate though mTLS on Cloudflare. But for the life of me I can't get it to work in the Immich app, despite the fact it feels like it should be possible.
Specifically I have set it up in Cloudflare to get my URL. This works in Chrome. I get a popup saying it wants to authenticate with the certificate (installed into Android) and it happily then lets me access the system via the web. It works on my PC in firefox. But if I "Import" the SSL Client Certificate into Immich, it just doesn't do anything......

Hi guys. It’s been quite a bit of time I’m wanting to use immich locally, mainly cause I don’t want to brother with my phone lacking space monthly, aswell wanna have my data with me.
Lately a friend of mine gave me 3 notebooks/laptops and one I already had laying around at home. Most of them have an I3 3217U ( or similar ones, only one have an Pentium T4500 ), all with around 4gb - 8gb ( I can remove memory from one to add in another ). What I’m currently wondering is how reliable that setup would actually be.
Most of them still have dvd reader, and I can change with a caddy adapter to add one more hd, but how reliable would it be? How well would immich run? Those hd wasn’t mean to be running 24/7 and I’m kinda scared to rely on it so much to put all my pictures on it. ...
Animal recognition works partially
Hello everyone. I'm running v1.131.3 and I have a strange issue:
I have a lot of pictures of animals (lions, zebras, elephant)
While most of the lions are correctly recognized, Zebras for instance are confused with tigers or not recognized at all. If I type "zebras" as context search, I also get pictures of a house or something that does not look like a zebra.
I'm using ViT-H-14-378-quickgelu__dfn5b as a model, I have plenty of hw resources,, so I think this is the best model to work with?...
Immich Server won't start, even after clean install.
After making no change to Immich itself, Immich stopped working and the server docker container will no longer fully load, throwing a number of errors that seemed to be Postgres and/or DNS related. The only change I made around the time of the server failure was to setup https through tailscale, which involved creating certs and activating https in the tailscale control panel (I've not turned this setting off in case this was the issue). I eventually did a full deletion of the containers and the postgres and immich library data folders. A clean install still won't load the server and it throws a different set of errors. I've tried just about everything I can think of, including a reinstall of docker itself and reverting a few older versions of Immich.
This is all on a home-hosted Ubunutu system.
Appreciate any help with this. Immich was working for 6 or so months and was great....
How to setup two user location paths?

I'm trying without luck to setup path locations for the upload library for two users. I'd like to be able to have a Photos directory in each user main folder on the NAS to be able to browse the library through file explorer too with ease.
The nas structure is like that in Windows:
\NAS\Arthur\Photos
\NAS\Lucie\Photos...
There is an abnormality when playing videos in the Microsoft Edge browser.
When playing a video that was vertically shot on a mobile phone in a browser, it will be played with a horizontal flip. However, videos shot horizontally on the mobile phone won't have this problem. Moreover, the live playback on an iPhone is correct. If you download the vertically shot video and play it, it will also play correctly.
