tmodlauncher pretends to launch but doesnt.
hi i need help with launching tmodloader as im not sure what the issue is, when installing tmodlauncher on steam, upon opening it without proton just automatically closes the launcher and with proton it bring up the terminal with some stuff and then also just closes immediately, when launching from the sh script, the terminal logs the tmodloader launches but nothing appears.
ive reinstalled both games, ive launched both games on proton since im on linux but to no avail

ive verified files ive uninstalled both the gamea and modloader atleast 3 4 times but same thing happens
sadly
verified doesnt mean uninstall
uninstall means this:

(Steam Instructions) Follow these steps to get a fresh install of your game files:
Terraria Instructions:
1) Delete the
Terraria folder in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common. If you're on a non-Windows computer or have Steam installed elsewhere, type .findinstall in #botworld to get to the tModLoader folder, then just go back one folder to end up in the common folder mentioned earlier.
2) Uninstall, then reinstall Terraria in Steam.
tModLoader Instructions:
1) Delete the tModLoader folder in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common. If you're on a non-Windows computer or have Steam installed elsewhere, type .findinstall in #botworld to get to this folder.
2) Uninstall, then reinstall tModLoader in Steam.
(Note: your player and world saves are stored in a completely separate folder than the ones mentioned above. If you delete any other folders, we are not responsible for you losing any of your saves.)Need to see Natives.log of the non-proton launch

lemme get that for you whilst i do the hard reset thingy that direwolf sent
tyty lots btw

it still looks like it's from proton, requesting win-x64 libraries
delete the logs directory and launch the game via
./start-tModLoader.sh (might need +x if steam doesn't handle that)deep-jadeOP•4y ago
following direwolfs hardreset thingy my loader just launched
im assuming you dont need the native logs anymore and this can be closed
thanks a lot both of you!
just did this command when i hard reset and it launched perfectly fine
on native
the magic of """reinstall windows"""
