Keep getting ''Main engine crash'' error when starting up tModLoader

I was previously getting the issue where you open tmod and then a console window pops up and then closes and it doesnt launch. Then I installed the audio workaround from GitHub. Now I'm getting the "main engine crash" error every time I try to launch. I got rid of all the mods, and it still tells me it may be a mod's fault.

Any help?
