Black Screen Comes Up and Closes (most of the time)
I have read the Troubleshooting Guide flowchart and tried deleting the Dotnet file. Unfortunately, it did not make a difference. I also verified the files and tried to reinstall. These also did not solve the problem.
Also very seldom (about 1/10 times) there is a chance the game does open and proceed after the black screen regardless of deleting Dotnet file. Out of those 3 times it had gotten past the black screen, the first it just started to fade into the credits then it crashed, second time I got to the title screen and tried to download a mod then it crashed, third time the music was an ungodly deafening cacophony of screeching static so I opened the settings and then it crashed.
