I signed up with email and when I try to sign up again with the same email, no error is thrown?

As the title says, I'm on 2.0.0-rc.10 and if I try to sign up with an email that is already registered no error is returned.

Is this a bug that I should report or are we expected to check for an existing auth user somehow first?
