Next.js using RQ hooks in pages dir with app dir root layout

Hi, we are trying to gradually migrate to the app directory but having a query client provider in the root layout breaks all RQ hooks in the pages dir.

Anyone know if this can be fixed, or where I can find more info on this issue?
