new user: can't lock database
new BlendOS user, coming from EndeavourOS (Arch). I just installed BlendOS in virtualbox to try it out. I wanted to install kitty, If I open Konsole and type sudo pacman -Syu kitty I get an error
failed to synchronize all databases (unable to lock database) looking in /var/lib/pacman I don't see the lock file. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong. Thanks in advance for any help2 Replies
you cannot use pacman on blendOS v3
please make an arch container and use pacman from that container
do not make issues regarding the system pacman
ok - I need to read the docs closer, looks like I needed to append the container name to the pacman command to install kitty. I need to review the documentation better to understand how to keep the system updated vs install apps
