It's a actually a bit worse since now additionally to the F6,6,T,G,B,Space Column additionally F5, 4, 5 and V stopped working so parts of the column next to it and even further(4) .

maybe someone with a bit more knowledge about the connection between those keys could give me more info on what pins exactly to check ( @jaygreco ?). odd thing was it was failing in the middle of using it. first the oleds didnt work anymore and then i suddenly made lots of typos since some of those keystrokes didnt detect right. then the keys mentioned above stopped detecting keystrokes altogether the rest seems to work fine since this thread doesnt include the issue i responded to im gonna briefly explain what happened before. almost two months ago i had this same far right column F6 6 T G B fail on me. i seemed to fix it by resolderring some mcu pins that looked a bit weird on the left half.

I used flux core solder wire. Since my local hardware stores don't have flux for electronic applications (Just the stuff for Pipes). I ordered some flux paste as you see it in many videos and it will probably arrive tomorrow It was my first time ever soldering so there's a high chance some solder joints are bad

Definitely sounds like a connectivity issue if it’s an entire row/column and follows a pattern.

flux is amazing. i always had issues getting good looking soldier joints but just adding a bit of flux paste is like magic

Nevermind it worked for 10 minutes and now I'm having the same issue again. This is very odd

i observed that one mcu pin is really hard to solder. the solder wont stick as well as the other pis and it has a harder time liquifying. its one of the gnd pins the second one from the top of the right side

well it has multiple gnd connections so maybe those specific keys use that gnd? the odd thing is that after resoldering it works for like 5 minutes and then randomly stops again

I think you can see it pretty well on here

that joint is just always messy and wont cleanly flow around with surface tension as all the others im using a weller soldering station according to the diode plan its all the keys/diodes with x,6 and x,7 having issues

what do you mean by that?

that would be 9 diodes with bad joints at the same time and they all look good according to older threads column wide issues are always either mcu or ic connection issues

That's where 7 and 6 go no bridging or anzthing but from the ic on i dont know how to progress i just discovered a really odd behaviour when i press them together with other working keys all of them except T G and Space do work like pressing 5 does nothing but when you press or hold down 4 at the same time the keystroke gets registered

backwards diode doesnt match the fact that the error is sometimes there and simetimes not i highly suspect the issue has to be somewhere between the ic and the mcu. or on them themselves, since its a column specific issue. i just cant wrap my head around why both column 6 and 7 have the same issue simultaneously like where do they go together? and is there any way to uncheck this thread as solved so maybe other people can share their ideas as well? i already marked it as solved when it started working again for that short period of time
