Immich using 2x the storage of the photos uploaded
I uploaded 70 ish gigabytes of photos, and currently immich is using 136 gigabytes. I did a little digging and it looks like the upload folder is using 48G of space. Overall, I'm not sure what's going on, but the storage used should be much less.

According to the server stats: 58 GiB used, but on the sidebar and in Proxmox (controlling a VM for immich), 134.6 GiB used
This is likely due to transcoding
Imich generates thumbnails and transcoded versions of videos. if you had avery compressed format like hvec this will lead to a lot do space being used by h264
Thanks! That makes sense. I do believe my phones records in hevc. So it basically duplicates every video to make an h264 version?
Correct, this is for compatibility, web browser cannot play HEVC natively
