need help installing GPU graphic drivers,
not a blend OS user, got banned from the arch linux discord for being right wing, need help,
Im trying to install nvidia drivers for my pc im new to arch linux but iv been getting the hang of it and while trying to download drivers it keeps telling me to close my "X" server, and when i try to close it the screen just goes blank and then goes back to the login screen, almost like a soft reboot, all i wanna do is get this driver installed so i can actually play games, so far it cant even run Halo CE without massive screen tears and i cant get the driver installed, i did a little research but i still cant close the X server and go back to the straight command line, can someone please help me?

But beside that
You had to go to a cli mode
By doing ctrl alt f3
we already have nvidia drivers
well the KDE and GNOME edition use Wayland

what does he need ones for an older card
we just have the usual
nvidia driverye but he is using regular arch
and he probably tried to run the thing on the nvidia website

which isn't the good way to do that i guess
uhhh do
sudo pacman -S nvidia-dkms if you have a normal card
use the AIO github thing if you have a way older card
because the nvidia and nvidia-dkms packages support most NVidia cardsit works with all nvidia car
the difference is
nvidia only works on the linux kernel, while nvidia-dkms will work regardless of kernel, just amek saure you have the right headersso i just recommend that so that people have something which just works

because like idk why but regular drivers didn't work
but with that it worked
