Files Stuck in uploads folder
I have successfully uploaded via cli the bulk of my existing photo library. the existing folder structure was carefully curated using a variety of exiftool commands to rename files by date and time and insert into folder structure the same way. All the files had same permissions myuser:myuser. The upload worked well and most of the files were uploaded and placed into the desired folder structure i set up in the web interface. However; after the upload was complete, the first circa 5000 photos in the web interface show as broken thumbnails. selecting the photos and clicking on info yields no further info. The log out put for the photo files and video files is as follows:
I have navigated to the uploads folder and find that the circa 5000 photos and videos are all in there. All are in standard formats and some even have thumbnails created by apple/samba. I have rerun the jobs for metadata and thumbnails but the same log errors pop up. I have downed the container and upped it again with no joy. I'm running linux 22.04 immich in docker setup via the immich documentation.
My question is, how do i proceed? the existing photo library was carefully curated and it is unlikely that so many invalid files are present. circa 5000 is not an insignificant number of photos and I would like to know more about what the problem is with these files before simply deleting them. Should i re-upload the existing library and let immich sort out all the duplicates? thanks for the help.
