Change featured photo
I am having an issue with the Change Featured Photo option. For my kids, Immich is using baby pictures for their faces. I was able to update the picture for one kid. Now, it no longer updates any face. Even if I try to update the one face I changed, it no longer works. I have tried disabling and reenabling facial recognition. That didn't affect anything other than running it on new uploads. I have tried running the face recognition job on all, but it doesn't appear to do anything at all. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Are you on the latest version? I believe this was a bug that recently got fixed

I updated the stack again last night before trying to rerun facial recognition.
Are you having this issue on server v1.79.1?

Try reprocessing the thumbnails for the asset you want to use before and then set it. There is a way from the menu in the asset detail to re-run it for a single one

Basically to use the change feature photo feature you need to have the bounding box available for each photo.
The easiest way is to start over. Or delete and reupload the photo you want to use.
forgot to mention issue fixed after library scan (problem was I was trying to change it mid scan 🫠)
