Face Recognition lost after naming & merging people (bug?)
Problem as in the title. I am not able to reproduce it right now, i am not sure what happend.
I had about 40 People named within the webview and some with the android app. Yesterday, i was asked if this was "the same face" when i used a name twice (not sure if that happend in webview too).
this morning, i was in webview under "explore/view all", i noticed that one person showed up twice with the same name; wanted to merge them and clicked on "show & hide faces", clicked some faces, and clicked "reset faces visibility" (i was not in the administration panel/job panel)
suddenly the already recognized faces with names were all gone.
side note: system is a testing setup within docker, the system (https://asrock.com/mb/intel/q1900b-itx/) kinda underpowered for these 80gb of smartphone pictures - 100% on all 4 cores and i think it ran out of memory (4gb ram only)
i am 70% sure, this was cause due to my system failing, but since its under heavy development i thought i might just ask if anyone experienced something like this when running out of memory? or maybe it really is some strange bug within the webview frontend?

Can you go into the hide and show face interface again and make sure that all face thumbnails have color instead of gray color
yes, the names were actually lost
i tried to hide and unhide for a wile, refreshed the browser, checked on my phone (the names showed up for a splitsecond, then were erased with the faces)
i re-ran the face recognition service and merged again. now it works fine. are there log files i could look into, to see what happend in the backend?
Usually the log would be in the server/microservice container
Have you been through many updates with Immich?
no, first installation
Hmm
i tortured the webinterface a litte (i uploaded 12k pictures in one go :D)
Wow I am surprised it didn’t crash
it sped up significantly when i ssh'd onto the server too
(the upload)
giant wall of text (log for the evening where i was able to change names till the evening of the next day)
same, but plaintext
damn i should have checked the time when it happend
