Sync instances?

Hi everyone :). Is it possible to sync two different locations of immich instances?
I'm thinking about something like this:
Local Instance of immich (w/o) Database <====> PostgresSQL on a VPS <====> Local Instance B of immich
Files A <====== SyncThing =====> Files B
Do I have to run all workers / docker containers on both local instances? Or is that a not intended use-case?
I was just thinking about it, cause my parent's want to have an immich instance at home, and I also have one running, We are currently connected via VPN, but I have a very bad internet connection. :(. This could also be used as a backup of the images...
