Waydroid not initializing?
Greetings,
I came across this operating system well doing some research. I like the ideal behind it and it's visual appearance. That being said, I have attempted to initialize waydroid and honestly I think I'm going to get grey hair first before it actually works. π€£
Anyway, I initialize it. I authenticate each time I'm prompted to but when I reboot my laptop I have to restart the process all over again which seems counterproductive to me since the instructions say that the laptop should be rebooted before installing. Basically, it's a loop with no break! π€£
I am new to BlendOS (and I've never used arch before which it's my understanding that's what BlendOS is based on) so some help would be greatly appreciated! Save me please! π
Thanks,
Glitter
P.S. I have v3 Gnome on one laptop and KDE on another. I am having the same issues with both.

Having the same issue. New to Linux, but very familiar on other platforms. This has been driving me nuts until I figured I'd check the discord, lol. I've got a Galaxy Book 12 that I'm setting up as a big tablet for my 6 year old. Loved the idea of having android apps. Ran windows 11 with a modified was, and it just couldn't handle it. Super sluggish, awful battery life, ran super hot. So far, Blend has been great but I can't get fdroid or aurora to install. Stuck in the initialize loop as well.
same with me
any info for it?
also got that issue tired multiple reinstalls all with the same result
trough its for me not just on reboot i only have to switch the tab inside the blendos settings application and then back its already back to initialize
In my case, it seems that
gbinder is missing. Trying to install this package using pip(or pip3) results in realising that pip is not on the system at all. Python version is 3.13.1
that's normal, you're missing
python-pip
try adding python-gbinder to your packages: section manually?
ok no add it to aur-packages:
ooooh ok
add 'aur/python-gbinder' (with the quotes) to aur-packages
the blendos repo package for gbinder is out of datelooks like it somewhat worked. cannot install aurora store, but at least waydroid isnt gone when switching tabs like it did previously

@Lean, you've gained the level
2hmm and how do i remove it now ?
Aurora is broken upstream
seems like wont work for me
even after enabling the uevent prop, usb devices were not accessible
:(
