Installed blend in a separate SSD but no boot option
Hi, so i recently just isntalled blendOS but after finishing the installation and rebooting i found that there are no boot entries for blend and for some reason my windows boot option was also missing, i was able to fix the windows boot option but i dont know how to fix the boot option for blendOS, i dont really know where to start because im relatively new to linux i've been using rebornOS previously for about 3 months before deciding to try out blend.

You could try reinstalling
okay
Double check your drive is flashed correctly
okay just got done reinstalling
didn't break my window boot option this time
but there still isnt a boot option for blend
i have 2 250gb ssds 1 is for windows
i split the other one for storage on windows and the other half is where im installing blend
does that count as dual booting thus i need refind or not?
if it's not coming up you'd need refind
but hard to install it if you can't boot blend
okay i re installed it but this time i moved my data to a separate hard drive and just made blend automatically partition the entire drive and it worked
but now i cant seem to shrink the ext4 partition in half
it's minimum and maximum size is the same
how can i fix this?
also it says attempting to acquire system lock when im installing a package which i found out later means that blend is trying to update
but it seems to be taking quite a long time in updating
maybe the mirrors aren't set to my closest location?

that's how long it takes
this is taking way too long
@myxo, you've gained the level
1i downloaded the update.iso myself and it was faster
is there a way i can just give blend the update.iso that i already have
new jersey server moment
no
im gonna use a vpn instead
how can i check what mirror i am using right now?
okay so i just grabbed the link used to download the iso and placed it inside /mnt/iso-update and now it works
after that i restarted and it was smooth sailing from there
but after a using blend for a bit i restarted again
and now my main display somehow switched to my second monitor
for context i have 2 monitors one connected to my nvidia gpu and the other to my integrated intel gpu
i am on gnome xorg
this just happened randomly
btw i also cant login into gnome xorg anymore
it just puts me back to the login screen
i have to use wayland
so now my main monitor only has the boot screen with the rog logo
this is all so bizzare
Only one update mirror
It’s in New Jersey
It’s a fun experience
Sourceforge isn’t used for updates
how can I see the download progress? how to stop the update process?
journalctl -xeu akshara -f
it is not recommended to stop them at any point
that's it
that's the logs
I waited a long time but nothing has changed
use arrow up-down to scroll
or that might only be without the -f
also this is the wrong channel
