Running supabase/postgres natively?

This might be simple but am trying to figure out how to use the ansible which is in the repo to setup postgres on bare metal Ubuntu. I want to have a repeatable process to setup my postgres servers and I love how seamless the plugin intergration is in supabase. I dont want to create a docker image and run it on that.
Apologies if this has been asked somewhere and I am missing something simple ( am not sure if just running the ansible playbook on the server works? and what happens if its also a webserver + appserver and has an existing caddy reverse proxy? )
