Will not connect to friend
I have been trying to connect, for some reason all the mods will load and stuff but when I connect it gets to “Reload Complete. Joining….” But then says lost connection after like 1 -2 minutes. If I could have some help I would really appreciate it

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. These are all the logs I found
This client.log doesn't seem to show an attempt to connect to a server
Are you hosting the server? That server.log was from today too, was that from you or the server host?

I just tried to connect again and here is the logs again
Seems like you have a lot of local copies of mods that are loading instead of the workshop versions, resulting in the desync with the server
I would suggest opening up the mods menu, clicking open mods folders, then deleting the .tmod files in the My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Mods folder after closing the game
then launch the game
All the mods should now be blue instad of purple
Basically, because your mods are out of sync, the game tries to load them when connecting, but when it does that it times out.

Check the Manage Mods menu. If there are mods with a pink/magenta background and no Steam icon, delete those mods. What it means is you have a local install of the mod which is overriding the likely more up-to-date Steam version. Deleting the local version will let you use the Steam version.
To delete the mod you can either:
* With the mod disabled, click the trash can icon to delete the mod in the Manage Mods menu.
* OR go to
Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Mods and delete the tmod files there.multiple-amethystOP•2y ago
looks like in this log you didn't have the OreExchange mod on the client, causing the reload to happen. It also looks like you launched the game directly through an invite, I'd suggest launching the game, letting the mods load, then join the server, might work better. You can take the enabled.json from the server and use that on your client to ensure you have all the same mods loaded before joining. If you are still having issues, I would first try joining the server when the server has 0 mods enabled, make sure that works. There is always the possibility that some mod is breaking in multiplayer and causing the connection to break. The server.log you posted was from your own computer, not the server you are connecting to

Im so done I took his file put it in my computer, did all of that but for some reason oreexchange keeps returning to the mods file where you told me to not have mods this is the most frustrating thing ever omg. I honestly have no idea what to do now at this point.

I'm still not seeing any specific reason it is failing. Did you try joining his server with 0 mods enabled yet? (The server has 0 mods.) I can't remember if you tried that yet
