Requiring Confirm Email with Unverified Users

Hi there! I had confirm email off for my authentication and am now hoping to switch it back on. I was wondering what the consequences of this would be for sign in workflow of users that already created accounts when confirming email wasnt necessary? Is there anything I should look out for?
