idk how to fix it. it just closes the tab without an error and this is all it shows before it closes

Looks like you are having issues with OneDrive. Follow the guide in the tModLoader FAQ to either disable OneDrive or to set up OneDrive correctly to work with the Documents folder. https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/wiki/Basic-tModLoader-Usage-FAQ#windows-10-onedrive (Click the ▶ to expand the sections.)

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. i got it to work but now there's no sound at all
not even menu sound
That makes sense. The issue was your audio devices not being supported, so fixing it would result in no sound
