tModLoader opens blank console that closes itself after a few seconds, and creates no logs
Hello, I installed tModLoader on Steam in a new device today to try and play multiplayer, however whenever I click "Play" I am instead greeted by this empty console that will close after a while. Most worringly however, I opened the tModLoader folder to find that the logs folder doesn't even exist

I've tried a few fixes I saw online and in the forums, namely trying to hold down shift while it opens, veryifing files, veryfing the files of Terraria itself, updating the microsoft .net and reinstalling tModLoader
but it still doesn't fix this

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. A last resort is to launch the game manually in PowerShell.
1. Go to the tModLoader install directory. Hold shift and right click in the folder. Click "Open PowerShell window here".
2. Type
dotnet tModLoader.dll and press enter.
If the game did not launch, you likely have an issue with .NET; You can try installing the .NET 6 SDK from here https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0. Select Windows x64 and run the installer. After you have installed the .NET 6 SDK, you will need to delete your dotnet folder in the tModLoader install directory.foreign-sapphireOP•2y ago
THE POWERSHELL WORKS
I just started it
I have yet to determine if this fixes my problem forever
or if I will have to continue using powershell
on this device (on my other pc it runs with no problems)
but yeha
my game crashed (for lag issues understandable give my pc specs, the crash is completely normal), and upon trying to reopen it WITHOUTH powershell it gives the same problem so yeah I'll have to use the powershell thing for the time being
idk what the issue might be but I blame the device itself
cuz on a different pc it ran fine
