I've just checked that all looks solid and connected , I've also used reset settings to factory which changed everything to some weird settings but still have no input from grip

I'd suggest opening the rear panel and checking the connection there. Try maybe reseating the grip connector.
In the worst case I'll send you a replacement controller.
I've just checked wire between board and connector and no issues no shortcuts no damage
I could try to check connector by itself maybe there is damage or something but the worst part is it just suddenly stopped working for no reason so it could be some software conflict
Try shorting DI and G pins together, all the buttons should light up
All 5 pins are connected to single pins in the socket so problem is not here I'm not sure if the ground is connected anywhere do you have diagram ?
Or which pins exactly should I connect together ? I don't want to break it
