Blend OS v4 Alpha ISO image
Hello Blend OS Team.
I am finding it hard to install BlendOS v4 on an existing arch installation. As I am not an expert at the terminal. Is there anyone on Discord that has made an ISO of Blend OS v4. Is the BlendOS team contemplating on releasing BlendOS v4 as an ISO file?
Thanks in advance, Bhaskar

I made a download page
Hey guys, I tried install blendos v4 from the iso, tried different download sources, and iso image creators etcher aswell as ventoy. Booting into live system works. Then I install with the jade GUI provided. Did automatic tries aswell as manual partitioning. In the end it always turns out like this: In the install process some warnings about possibly missing firmware accurs. In the end of the Install I get (Info) Downloading Arch Tarball (Warning) failed Download trying again, Error failed Download Error update failed. But it shows installation successful. On Boot up Blend Os is recognised and booting as "arch-linux". Then it shows Loading Linux Linux Zen and Loading initial ramdisk. This is shown for a while. then I get an error: '/dev/disk/by-label/' device did not show up after 30 seconds Falling back to interactive promt You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished sh: can't acces tty; job control turned off. I had a look into the mentioned direcotory from the live bootstick. Nothing to be found there, not a single file or folder.
can you reach https://geo.mirror.pkgbuild.com
figured it out
the path it tries to get the tarball from is wrong
issue on our side

https://geo.mirror.pkgbuild.com/iso/latest/archlinux-bootstrap-x86_64.tar.gz
404
it's a tar.zst
not a tar.gz anymore
So thats why there has been issues with installing it.
@Senzenfrenz your system is fine, just wait for us to fix it
Ok, how long would it take approx.?
however long it takes Rudra to notice
ffs why did it take this long for me to know
you could have told me
Ok thank you very much for your reply!
I'm trying to get Rudra to know, I could probably fix it but we'd need to make a new ISO
No hurry, at least not because of me 😄 Use Windows for a while and have mint installed on my laptop so no trouble.
Windows 🤢
Issue solved
We have an update script for you to run
Try running it on the live ISO before install
Open the terminal
Type:
curl https://paste.asterisk.lol/raw/ejuyonutis | sudo bash
maybe we should post this in #📣┃announcements
