How do I prevent my mods loading from the local mods folder

I've had this issue before, I need to know how to permanently stop this from happening to me, it is incredibly annoying.
I cannot play my mods up to date because of this stupid issue.

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on

in the library, then hover over

. In the folder that appears find

and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the

Check the Manage Mods menu. If there are mods with a pink/magenta background and no Steam icon, delete those mods. What it means is you have a local install of the mod which is overriding the likely more up-to-date Steam version. Deleting the local version will let you use the Steam version.
To delete the mod you can either:

With the mod disabled, click the trash can icon to delete the mod in the Manage Mods menu.
OR go to Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\ModsDocuments\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Mods and delete the tmodtmod files there.
