Special characters in pod IDs

pod IDs should not have special characters. this is meant to be used in APIs.

Agreed, if this is happening then it's pretty bad for my usecase too

I just treat the id as a unique string, I don't think this would affect my code, as long as RunPod API responded accordingly to it.

no, x looks different and it was an actual failure in my code because of it. I treat it as a string to and only pass it to runpod-python. Haven't analyzed the failure in detail but it might be because I have the runpod id in an UI then and the UI couldn't handle the special charachter. Is this forum being watched by RunPod devs or must it be submitted somewhere else?

Right, it is a font the character looks strange but it is indeed a normal x if you copy and paste somewhere you'll see that it is normal

must have been rare conincidence then, that I experienced an error right at the same time, at a point that always worked.
