Union Schema Transformation and Decoding Compatibility
sanity check -
Schema.union(T1, T2) can decode deal with T1 having a transform that effectively turns it into T2 ? I need to still be able to read the old shape, but can convert it into the new shape for further processing. Later on it's being encoded as T2 into storage
