Search images by description
Why isn't there a feature to search an image by it's "description" field?
Isn't this a really basic feature that should be written before those machine learning searches??

Successfully submitted, a tag has been added to inform contributors. :white_check_mark:I wanted to use llama to generate description for all of the images in my library using immich api
and then later search any image easily
but seems like i can't search with description
Why isn't there a feature to search an image by it's "description" field?Because nobody's built it.
Isn't this a really basic feature that should be written before those machine learning searches??1. Everybody's priority is different 2. The ML search was there before descriptions If this feature is so important to you, a PR would be welcome
Thanks, I'll open a PR
can i use /search/smart endpoint itself instead of creating /search/description ?
It'll return the images which matched description first, and then the embedding ones
@bo0tzz
this is how it looks when I only return the images which match description ( I've commented the ML part )
Thanks for working on this!
You're a legend, my friend.
