Whenever I try to open the mod manager is says that it "Failed to initialize"

This was the case since before 1.0 came out but I finally decided to go here to ask for help
Before it was working perfectly but one day it decided to just not
Reinstalling the mod manager did not work

Solution

There could be a chance it's recoverable, but if not you'll have to delete it and reinstall the mods you had before, you can see them in the SMM log in

%localappdata%\SatisfactoryModManager\logs

%localappdata%\SatisfactoryModManager\logs

, or if you install one mod and then try to load your save SML will warn you about the mods you're missing before letting you load the save
