Sorting on JSON fields

I have a discounts table, and there is a field called

totalSales

totalSales

(https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-10/objects/DiscountCodeBasic#field-totalsales). I'm trying to do a sort on this with the following:

{
  "totalSales":{
    "amount":"Descending"
  }
}

{
  "totalSales":{
    "amount":"Descending"
  }
}

But I'm getting this error:

Variable "$sort" got invalid value { amount: "Descending" } at "sort.totalSales"; Enum "SortOrder" cannot represent non-string value: { amount: "Descending" }.

Variable "$sort" got invalid value { amount: "Descending" } at "sort.totalSales"; Enum "SortOrder" cannot represent non-string value: { amount: "Descending" }.

Any ideas?
