Google Photos split video & pictures "Folders" imported incorrectly
Hi,
So I have imported all my Google Photos to Immich which went quite well.
I only have two issues/questions.
In Google Photos, I have 3 folders for the same vacation: A folder with every pictures and videos from the vacation, one with only pictures and one only with videos.
Immich has made the folders, it says it a lot of items in the folders. But the folder that only has videos seems bugged. It says there are 480 videos in the folder, but I can only see 18 in it.
If I however go the folder with pictures I can see the movies, so it looks like they are imported.
My thought is, because Immich merge pictures and videos with the same name, it doesn't display the videos in the video folder because the thumbnail is attached to the picture. Could that be correct?
The second issue is similar. A different vacation, I made a folder for videos and another for pictures. When extracted from Google Photos they were named different than all my other files, e.g. vacation_img_000 and vacation_mov_000.
And because of this, Immich isn't able to make the connection that some of these videos should be merged with the picture.
Is it possible to fix this? E.g. if I rename them and reimport, would that solve the issue or would that f up the metadata file from Google Photos?
Also wondering, what is the best way to validate that all images have been uploaded to Immich?
Thanks in advance.
