Clearing Duplicates via Web Utility

Hello, I recently started using Immich, thanks for the hard work. I am using the web utility to trash or stack duplicates, but whenever my Phone App starts the automatic backup, those duplicates are uploaded once again. I am using the iOS app. Is there a setting that I am missing?
