Tried to upgrade immich but now postgres won't start
Hi, as per title. I followed the instructions to get it running on my fedora server using docker compose, all working great for the last few months. Just tried to do an update and it pulled a lot of new containers but then postgres won't start.
I haven't changed anything in .env apart from the db password. I downloaded the latest docker-compose

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed. That sounds like a problem with your system/docker installation
Yes, but I've no idea what. I've been running a matrix/element server on there no problem for years and immich for the last few months.
I can't see how to get at any logs either, docker compose logs gives no output

Can I reinstall and rebuild the database but keep the same library?
Not really
You could upload the files from it again though
wouldn't that include all the thumbs and everything too?
Those are in separate folders
ok so if I backup the library/upload folder elsewhere, then delete the library dir and the postgres dir, trash the docker containers I'll be completely uninstalled? then if I reinstall following the docker compose instructions I can just upload the upload folder somehow? (the file structure in there is obviously not for humans)
Yes
I originally uploaded my photos using immich-go from a google takeout that made all the albums etc. If I upload the library folder will it still have all the same metadata and album info ?
Metadata yes, albums no
ok thanks for your help
