immich not mapping ports
I am just getting started with immich. I have it installed in a ubuntu 24.04 VM on proxmox. docker says that it is started, but it does not have its port mapping. The only change I made in docker-compose.yml is commenting out the start_interval for the database because it was preventing docker compose from building. And in my .env I set a custom UPLOAD_LOCATION to a nfs share.

I have...

Check (and post) the logs
The container isn't starting
how do I get the log files for it?
are you running from Portainer?
no, I just tried portainer today. I am using CLI
great, you can just run
docker compose down
then docker compose up
it will start will all the logsI do see that immich-server keeps restarting
any logs?
this is the only error I am seeing.
immich_server | [Nest] 17 - 01/07/2025, 7:22:48 PM ERROR [Api:StorageService] Failed to create upload/encoded-video/.immich: Error: EACCES: permission denied, mkdir 'upload/encoded-video'
Your NFS permissions are broken
Probably root_squash or something along those lines
ok I will check that
I seem to have more issues with permissions since I switched to Truenas instead of just using CLI
That did the trick, thank you.
