Moving external folder location

How do you recommend doing so? I'm trying by using rsync -aAXvh /old-location /new-location then I was planning on changing the paths from the compose.yaml and the administration panel, though when using rsync I'm getting many errors such as:
betta/Old/IMG_8790.HEIC
rsync: [receiver] chown "/nfs/immich/icloudpd/betta/Old/.IMG_8790.HEIC.AL6H9g" failed: Operation not permitted (1)
betta/Old/IMG_8790.HEIC
rsync: [receiver] chown "/nfs/immich/icloudpd/betta/Old/.IMG_8790.HEIC.AL6H9g" failed: Operation not permitted (1)
Even when running as sudo. I'm not sure what those files are at all. Running Ubuntu LTS 24.04.1, Immich v1.124.0 and I'm not sure what other info would actually help Appreciate any advice!

Hello this isn’t an immich issue, you’ll want to investigate the permissions on your mounts and confirm the filesystem support the operations you’re trying to do

I suppose my question was about the relevance of the dot files for each "real" file such as IMG_8790.HEIC it seems it's trying to copy a .FILENAME.suffix file that I can't even see if I ls -al in the original folder, are these temporary file made by immich, do they serve any purpose?

No, those aren’t related to immich

Does your target filesystem have ACLs and xattrs enabled ? Those files are temporary files created by rsync while transfering each file. I'm not sure why it is not dealing with them correctly. It is probably another sync that was canceled/failed. However, the errors you see with them "should" be anodyne. If you're not using ACL/XATTR remove the AX from your options. You may find that rsync -avh /old-location/ /new-location/ (note the end /s) works better. You may want to add -H if there are any hardlinks, I am not an Immich expert so I do not know if there are any in there.

I believe that’s the issue as well, as I just used the recommended command from the ArchLinux wiki about backing up files. I checked the sizes of the old folder and new folder and indeed they’re exactly the same. I will double check but I think no files from the original folder had hardlinks
