Search stopped working after upgrading
A month or so ago, I took the plunge and made a fresh install of Immich so that I could follow the normal upgrading and trouble-shooting routines and not being locked into the confines of Cosmos cloud platform. Unfortunately now search does not seem to work at all. I am attaching log files soon.

Here are the last few lines from the immich-server log file
And here is the entire contents of the machine-learning log file
Sorry that was the wrong file
Here is all that is in the machine learning log file
Please also post the compose file etc
OK, just a moment
Docker compose file
What's the ML URL set to?
In the admin settings
http://immich-machine-learning:3003
(I have not touched it)
All of that sounds correct
Are you still on CosmoOS?
If so, I think they're doing weird custom docker network stuff. It's like that breaks it
Yes, but now I did everything from the command line following your instructions. However, Cosmos "picks it up" i e sees that there are new containers there that it can manage.
But basically, Cosmos is nothing else than another container on top of Debian in my case
Just like Portainer would be
Can you
docker container inspect immich-server
?OK
Error: No such container: immich-server
One day I will learn it..... 😅
immich_server
, sorrysudo container inspect immich_server
docker network inspect immich_default
?What strikes me as odd is this:

All containers have port numbers listed except the machine_learning container
Here is the output of that network inspect
docker container inspect immich_machine_learning
?Here is the result from that
Try adding
hostname: immich-machine-learning
on the ML containerHow do I do that?
Something in the docker-compose.yml file?
OK, think I understand now how to add it to the docker-compose.yml file
OK, entered the hostname: line in the docker-compose.yml file and then "sudo docker compose restart". Did not help I'm afraid
I think you are having a break or doing something else now, Daniel, so I will follow your example and do something else for a while
Restart won't recreate the container, what you need here
You have to
docker compose up -d
Got it!
Great! That did it! Thanks a million!
