Immich isn't showing local device photos on android
I've installed Immich on the play store using server version 1.124.2 and when I try to upload a photo from my android device, it doesn't show any of my device photos.
I have no issues when using the web-app from my pc, can upload photos - and in fact they appear on the android app too.
Not sure what to do...

I have...
1. :blue_square: verified I'm on the latest release(note that mobile app releases may take some time).

5. :blue_square: tried accessing Immich via local ip (without a custom reverse proxy).

7. :blue_square: tried an incognito window, disabled extensions, cleared mobile app cache, logged out and back in, different browsers, etc. as applicable

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like
fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

I can see my albums from my device if I enable backup
If I want to selectively upload photos, it shows me nothing - this page
I've enabled all permissions. I've reinstalled the app
Where is that add photos screen?
Currently you can only see assets synced via the chosen albums or uploaded via other avenues. You can't upload individual photos via the app yet.

No not directly from your device.
You can add photos to albums that are already in immich.
ah I understand, I'd need to back up an album on my device to immich?
Correct.
That's currently how the mobile backup works. You select an album such as camera or recents to backup.
Ah ok..I guess a work around for adding selective photos to immich would be creating an immich album on my phone
Then once it uploads to immich, I can delete from that album? Presuming it's not syncing
If you would like to remove the photos from your internal storage yes you can. Just make sure to have good backups
Ok so I let the photos upload to immich from an album on my mobile phone. Once they uploaded, I deleted them from my phone/album
Now they all seem to be missing
Are all the jobs finished running?
I've just realised it shows on the web-ui, but not on the app
There's no active jobs
Hmm. Can you pull down on the timeline twice to rebuild it? Or log in and out?
