Need help with Postgres functuons.

I've been working on an app for about 3 years now. My techwizard friend suggested I build it in Javascript and then convert it to Postgrest & Kotlin. He's unfortunatly no longer available. Would anyone mind helping walk me through how to turn a Javascript DB call into a "Frontend sends the function & argument, then the backend responds with relevent data" Postgrest function?

I dont think that should be too hard converting it with an LLM, are you asking for help writing it or where to add them / how to call them?

A little bit of each. I've figured out how to create a DB Function, and I use the Supabase AI to do the conversion from JS to Postgrest. The problem is that I often think everything is done right, but still get errors when I call the function.

For example: I wrote a basic Hello World function for practice, and can call it reliably. However when I try the same call using a function that requires Arguments/variables I keep getting errors.

That page is how I've gotten as far as I have. I'll post screenshots of my errors later when I get off work. My main error right now is something about "Can't find function named public.createProfile with arguments legal_first_name, legal_last_name, public_name; or an object with a single JSON attatched". I've made sure that these are both Column Names & Variables Names, and that they are spelled correctly.

There's another error that says something about "Failed to Fetch" but that ones new. It just started popping up last night, so I went to bed instead of investigating it. (It was midnight, and I'd burnt myself out on other problems.)

Need help with Postgres functuons.
