supabase db pull created a remote_schema migration that undoes many of my new migrations

I just supabase db pushed a set of migrations, then ran supabase db pull and it created a remote_schema migration that was immediately applied in the remote db, which overwrote many of my new migrations e.g. redefining functions to the way they were before my migrations

I wasn't really expecting this, and would like to understand
