tmodloader mac stopped working after today's update

As the title states, in the last hour or so tmodloader will not launch on mac. It will start and immediately fail after launch. Any ideas?

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on

tModLoader

tModLoader

in the library, then hover over

Manage

and click on

Browse local files

Browse local files

. In the folder that appears find

tModLoader-Logs

tModLoader-Logs

and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the

There are no logs in general

I've been having this happen, too, and I'm playing on steam deck
maybe I shouldn't have done the scheduled update early

In the interim, you can try running start-tmodloader.sh start-tmodloader.sh directly

weirdly enough, if I turn on the force compatibility using proton, it starts fine

But yeah, this should always work for Mac or Linux independent of any steam stuff so if proton has any issues this is next option while I look in to it

You can fix it by changing the third line to

It's unconditionally running exit 1exit 1 which causes it to exit.
